Everything you track stays on your phone. If you choose to create an account, we store your email address and, when you press "Back up now" or the app backs up on its own while signed in, a copy of your data, so you can restore it on another phone. We do not sell data, show ads, or share anything with anyone else.
Habits, tasks, completions, notes, settings and optional photos you attach to a habit. This lives in a local database on the device and is never sent anywhere unless you use the account features below. You can export it as a file, or erase all of it, from the Profile screen at any time.

These are stored with Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) in Google's data centres. Firebase's own privacy terms apply to that storage: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
If the app crashes, a report containing the error, the app version and the device model may be sent to Sentry so we can fix it. It contains no habit data, no email and no identifier that names you.
No advertising, no analytics of your behaviour, no selling or sharing of data, no tracking across apps or websites, no location.

If you no longer have the app installed, email support@habitnorth.com from the address you registered with, subject "Delete my HabitNorth account". The account and its backup are deleted within 7 days and you receive a confirmation. Nothing is retained afterwards.
A photo attached to a habit stays on the phone as a file. It is not part of the backup and does not move to another device.
Notifications and exact alarms, so reminders arrive at the time you set. Photos, only if you attach a picture to a habit. Nothing else.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes and the new version ships with the next app update. Questions: support@habitnorth.com
